The Northeast region of Vietnam, including areas like Sapa, Bac Ha, and Ha Giang, is known for its dramatic mountainous landscapes, diverse ethnic minority communities, and excellent trekking opportunities.Popular trekking routes in this region include the Sapa to Bac Ha loop, the Ha Giang Extreme North Loop, and treks through the Hoang Su Phi and Dong Van Karst Plateau regions.Trekking in Northeast Vietnam offers the chance to hike through lush valleys, over high mountain passes, and past traditional villages home to groups like the H'mong, Dao, Tay, and Nung people.

Day 1 Hanoi Transfer by car to Sapa 

The drive from Hanoi at 7:30 AM to Sapa for 5 hours , Check in local hotel and afternoon free time to explore Sapa .

Day 2 : Sapa –Fansipan Mountain - Tram Ton pass – 2800m ( B ,L, D)

8:00 AM pick up from your hotel in Sapa and start the trip to Fansipan peak, You are having a couple of interesting days waiting ahead. You are having a couple of interesting days waiting ahead. You travel by car toward the Silver Waterfall where you will be able to take a short walk to the waterfall. You will then drive further to Heaven Gate, the highest peak of roads in Vietnam. From there you can see Fansipan, the highest peak of the Indochina mountains as well as enjoy stunning views. The trek will be relatively soft until lunchtime. After a couple of hours of hiking, you will have a break at a nice spot in the forest and enjoy a good lunch., With new energy, you start ascending as well as descending towards the campsite. En route, you have many opportunities to enjoy the scenery and magnificent views of the Sapa area and the beautiful landscape of Lai Chau province. You will arrive at the campsite at 2800m ASL in the late afternoon. Now it is time to relax and enjoy a well-prepared dinner.

Approx: 0,5 hour driving/ 6 hours walking/ 1 hour lunch

Day 3 : 2800m – the top of Fansipan – 2200m (B, L, D)

After having breakfast, you climb to the top, where you can celebrate your victory. From there, you can enjoy the best view of beautiful scenery. You will then start descending. You stop on the way at a nice spot for lunch.,After lunch, you start the tough trek, which is all the way downhill through the rainforest. This part requires great concentration to step on a steep trail until you meet the campsite at 2200m ASL. Here you spend another night in the tent.

Approx: 8 hours walking/1-hour lunch.

Day 4 : 2200m – Sin Chai – Sapa (B, L )

You wake up in the fresh and pure morning in wild nature, before heading back to civilization. You trek downhill through a well-protected forest and after two hours of hiking, you stop for lunch., You will then continue descending toward Sin Chai village of the Back Hmong minority. On the way, you will be able to enjoy valley views and beautiful surroundings. You stop at the village for a while before you go by car back to Sapa  for check in .

Approx: 0,5 hour driving/ 4 hours walking/ 1 hour lunch.

Day 5 : Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Ban Ho ( B , L , D )

Enjoy a cup of hot coffee or tea and discover your homestay’s surrounding area and the nearby rice,,fields. After breakfast, you will be retaken uphill into the mountain to the waterfalls of Giang Ta,,Chai. You will then enter the Red Dao area where, together with your local guide, you will learn,,more in detail about their culture and daily life. After a short visit to a Red Dao family, you will then,,head back to the waterfalls by taking an alternative trail and across a second hanging bridge. You,,will then have your lunch in Giang Ta Chai village at a small, local restaurant run by a Hmong,,family. After the break, we will make our way to Su Pan, a community of the Black Hmong minority.,,And then continue walking to the Ban Ho village, where you will meet three ethnic minorities such as,,Red Dao, Tay, and the Black Hmong. A Tay family and check-in will welcome us to their family. You,,will then have time to rest, take a hot shower, and wait for your dinner. Physical activities: 5-8 km trek.

Day 6 : Ban Ho – Nam Tong – My Son – Thanh Phu ( B, L, D )

After an excellent breakfast in Ban Ho, we continue walking to the village Nam Toong, about 3km from,Ban Ho. In this village, you can learn everything about the Red Dzao minority that lives here. The,Red Dzao are famous for the red scarves they wear on their heads. We will then follow a buffalo trail,through sprawling rice terraces, taking in the spectacular views of Hoang Lien National Park as we,make our way to My Son village. Here you can meet the Xa Pho minority, one of the smallest tribes,in the Sapa area. We will spend the night in the village of Thanh Phu, where you enjoy local food and,a warm bed in a Tay minority stilt house. Physical activities: 8-10km trek.

Day 7 : Thanh Phu - Bac Ha (B/L/D)

Breakfast in the morning, which attracts a wide variety of minority groups such as the Hmong, Dao, Thu,,Lao, Pa Di, Tu Di, and Phu La. The drive to Bac Ha is about 2 hours, and then in the early,,afternoon, we continue to trekking to Ban Pho villages. Here we’ll stop for an overnight break, and,,we’ll enjoy a walk to visit the Hmong Kings Palace after checking in. Dinner and overnight in Ban,,Pho villages. Physical activities: 5 -8km trek.

Day 8 : Bac Ha – Trekking to Tien Nguyen – Hong Son (B, L , D )

Early pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi and Driver and local guide will pick you up to trekking point at the center of Tien Nguyen commune around the porter picks up guests here, We start trekking through the Tay village, After walking 3km, Visitors begin to step into the village of the Dao Ao Dai ethnic group, the village stands at the foot of the mountain, next to the winding stairs. After crossing the small stream, visitors begin to climb about 2km, to Mr. Ly Thanh Lap's house, stop and spend the night here. Ly Thanh Lap's sleeping place, Dzao Ao Dai ethnic group, the house on stilts is made according to the traditional architecture of Dzao Ao Dai ethnic group, the house is large, clean, spacious, the house has a bathroom and toilet. will, has full hot water system. Physical activities: 7-10km trek.

Day 9 : Hong Son – Son Thanh – Nung Cu ( B ,L , D )

After breakfast in Hong Son, visitors start walking along the trails and along the mountainside, the landscape is mainly terraced fields, tea hills and low hills. Walking about 8km, visitors to Son Thanh village of Nam Khoa commune stop to rest and have lunch here. Son Thanh village is home of the Red Dao ethnic group, where it still retains the traditional features of the Red Dao people such as costumes, traditional houses, etc. While waiting for the porter brothers to prepare lunch, visitors can exchange and learn more about the culture of the Red Dao ethnic group. The altitude here is about 600m. After lunch, visitors begin to climb over the 885m high mountain, up here visitors can observe the whole beauty of the rice terraces of Nam Khoa commune. From the top of the mountain, visitors continue to walk along the trail, go through the forest to reach the village of Nung ethnic people, go about 6km, visitors to Nung Cu village of Nam Khoa commune stop and spend the night here. . Sleeping place: Mr. Then Van Luong's house, Nung ethnic group, the house on stilts is large, clean, has a full bathroom and toilet, and has a hot water system. This place still retains the tradition of wearing Nung ethnic costumes even on weekdays and festivals. Physical activities: 17-19 km trek.

Day 10 : Nung Cu – Khoa Thuong Trung – Nam Hong ( Hoang Su Phi )  ( B , L , D)

A day of trekking begins, you walk gently along the trail to Nung Moi village of Nam Khoa commune, where you can freely see the beautiful terraced fields. Passing Nung Cu, visitors continue to go to Khoa Trung village, where the Red Dao people live, stop for lunch in the afternoon, pass the hills of Vau trees, tea forests and the Mam Xoi area of Khoa Ha village. and take pictures of the raspberry hill in the afternoon around 15:30 arrival in Nam Hong villages where you can stay at the house of the Red Dao ethnic group. rest and dinner. Day 11 : Nam Hong ( Hoang Su Phi )  – Ha Ginag ( B , L, D )

Day 12 : Ha Giang – Quan Ba ( B , L, D  )

Today you will begin your trekking adventure by setting out form the homestay in the morning and trekking for about 6 to 8 hours to the village of Lung Vai. Along this trek off the beaten path, you’ll get to take in the beauty of the terraced rice paddies, majestic mountains and serene palm-tree forests. You’ll also run into people from many different ethnic groups along the way, such as Man and Dao, who are generally more than happy to stop and interact with travellers for a short while.
You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch amidst nature before continuing to the remote village of Khuoi My. En route there will be many farmers working in the fields, and if we have the time you can even join in for some farm work if you so desire.
Finally, we move on to Ban Tha Village, where our driver will pick you up and drive you to Nam Dam, where you can enjoy a home-cooked local meal and spend the night in a homestay operated by a Dao family. Physical activities: 15-17km trek.

Day 13 : Quan Ba – Dong Van ( B , L, D  )

We set out in the morning for Dong Van, passing through Cong Troi Pass and then continuing on to Yen Minh. On the way we will also visit the King’s Palace in the H’mong village of Sa Phin, built in the early 20th century. The area is also notable for its many corn plantations, where the harvest is collected by hand.
As we pass reach Dong Van we disembark for lunch in the colourful old market. Here you can admire the Ancient houses and the local people in their traditional garments. We’ll have dinner and stay overnight in a hotel in Dong Van. Physical activities: 5-7km trek.

Day 14 : Dong Van – Meo Vac – Bao Lac ( B , L, D  )

After breakfast, you will get to explore Dong Van Old Quarter, before making the trek off the beaten track up to Pu Lo fortress which was built in 1890 and evacuated in 1945. From here you can enjoy spectacular views of the entire region, before climbing 8 km to the top of Ma Pi Leng Pass, through a gigantic maze of limestone peaks, stone forests, and canyons before descending into the valley of Meo Vac for lunch and This afternoon will be a great day spent in the mountains north of Bao Lac, where we visit the villages of the Lo Lo, a small minority which has carefully kept its tribal customs. We’ll have dinner and stay the night in Bao Lac hotel. Physical activities: 8-10 km trek.

Day 15 : Bao Lac – Ba Be National Park  ( B , L, D  )

Before leaving Bao Lac you will visit the Bao Lac market, which is a special market that is only held 1 day of the week. In fact, it is probably one of the most photogenic places you'll visit in northern Vietnam. After lunch in Bao Lac, you will then drive on a bumpy road along the river and rice fields. We’ll arrive in Ba Be National Park in the late afternoon, and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a Tay house on the Ba Be lakeshore. ( If time permit we will take a short boat tour to visit Ba Be lake before to villages ) Physical activities: 5-7km trek.

Day 16 :  Ba Be National Park – Hanoi or Noi Bai Airport  ( B , L  )
 Breakfast and walking around villages before transfer back to Hanoi via Thai Nguyen city to visit the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups. It contains more than 10,000 documents, and artifacts belonging to the cultural heritage of 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam. The museum also presents an extensive collection of agricultural, handicraft, and hunting tools. Typical ritual clothes with bright colors and decorative motifs of different ethnic minorities are also exhibited. The unusual costumes of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups used for worshipping their sorcerers are embroidered with lines and designs that supposedly perceive magical sounds. Transfer back to Hanoi and check in your own hotel or transfer to aitport . End The Tour .
